Thinking Wall Decor {for the Guest Room}

Trucking right along!  I’m drilling down on bedding for the guest room, using some basics I already have and filling in the gaps as economically as possible.  Fun!  Especially since it involved a trip to HomeGoods, armed with a 2 gift cards I’ve been hoarding for a while.

I picked up a few things for the beds, but also found these…

My wheels have been turning about the wall decor for this room and I’m planning on using a few things from other rooms (gotta love shopping the house!), but I didn’t have any ideas for the wall between the windows.  Until I saw these.  The finish on the frame is awesome and almost identical to the blue in my bench.  I snapped up two and I’m thinking botanicals or maybe butterflies… I’ll be perusing printables for this project, so if you know of any that might fit the bill, I’d love it if you’d share in the comments.

Remember her?  *Sigh*  She’s waiting patiently for her debut. 🙂

I also may or may not have something like this waiting…

I just may have used a credit at The Foundary for this  last January, shortly after that fabulous bench made it home with me.  Do you shop The Foundary?  I’ve gotten so many awesome things from there… click HERE if you’re interested in checking it out.

I’ve selected a mirror, two framed watercolors, and a framed lithograph for other wall space — all from other spaces in my home.  I’m excited to change things up a bit in those spaces, too!  And I’m open to adding in some three -dimensionality too — plates, open frames,  you get the idea.   This is the fun stuff to me!

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week for me and I was showered with all kinds of goodies, gifts, and love…

This was such a great reminder for me that what I do matters to these families.  Encouraging, for sure.

This weekend, the hubs and I are lounging at the lake, soaking in the calm before the storm that I call May Madness.  If you want to feel like you’re at the lake, too, check out this post and this post.  I’ll have a few pics to share next week, along with some additional progress on the guest room.  Baby steps, y’all. 🙂

Enjoy the weekend!
